Babies are such a nice way to start people.

Wonderfully made

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

This beautiful verse always comes to mind when I photograph newborns:

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Documenting these perfect little people always humbles me.

This is almost 3-week old ‘I’. He was a total gem. He started out awake, and completely content, then drifted off to sleep.

Ah, a sweet little smile…

Another smile!

Rainy day session

Monday, September 29th, 2008

I got to meet this sweet little peanut over the weekend. It was such a dreary, rainy day. I was so afraid we’d have to reschedule. Thank heavens for bright foyer light! ;) 9-day old ‘M’ let me do whatever I pleased with him…he never even made a peep.

This is his ‘Peace Out’ pose :)

Here are ‘M’s’ big sister and brother.

2 weeks new

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

Newborn sessions are always so much fun. Each baby is so different, and I learn so much from each session. This is 2-week old ‘T’. He taught me that every baby doesn’t like to be naked and that you can’t fight sleep forever! ;)

I could’ve just cuddled all 6 pounds of him all day. I love having a toddler, don’t get me wrong, but I do miss that sweet baby smell, and those little tiny fingers and toes.

We started the session with some awake shots…

then off to sleep he went. He loved being wrapped. I’m always so leery about changing their position once they go to sleep. Doen’t he look so angelic?
