Her boys…
Tuesday, October 30th, 2007I had a blast with these guys today. Ages 3 and 4, and FULL of energy!
There’s a phenomenon known as ‘missing mommy syndrome’ when it comes to photographs. It seems that moms are always the ones taking the pictures. 
We set out to remedy this problem for this beautiful family today, and I must say-what I wouldn’t give to have images like this with my son! I think mom will be VERY pleased!

I’m just going to jump right in here with some pictures.
This is sweet, one-year old ‘B’. I went to school with mom and dad, so it was cool to meet and photograph the child of two people that I’ve known for so long. Hope the party was fun!
Next up were ‘E’ and ‘M’. This is the second time I’ve photographed these sweet girls. ‘M’ was a newborn last I saw her, so I couldn’t believe how much she’d grown–she’ll be one soon! And big sis ‘E’…oh, she has the most beautiful smile, not to mention the coolest wardrobe!

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007I’ve been chomping at the bit to try some shots out in this field that is practically in our backyard. I know better than to try and get my little man out there…so, I opted for a willing subject - my hubby!
I loved the backlighting and the golden color of these shots.

Monday, October 22nd, 2007Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year. Who doesn’t love cooler temps and the gorgeous colors?!
Last year, hubby and I took a day trip to Roaring Run. It was a textbook fall day…just perfect! If you haven’t taken a hike there before, you must get out and do it now! Here are a few shots from our day there.

Lots of sneak peeks
Monday, October 15th, 2007I’ve been a bad blogger here lately. I’ll make it up to you by posting some sneak peeks from recent sessions!
My first session of the week was with newborn ‘G’. Such a sweet, sleepy little fella.
How I love those sleepy smiles…
My next two sessions were repeat clients. I love watching my kids grow!
I last photographed ‘AH’ right before her first birthday. If it’s possible, she’s gotten even more beautiful!
It’s also been about a year since I last saw ‘S’ and ‘R’. It was hot as blazes then, so at least the weather was kinder to us! And they were just as fun! And I LOVED the way they were dressed!
Photographer’s child syndrome
Saturday, October 13th, 2007I am often told ‘I bet you have some amazing shots of your son.’ Well, I wish I could proudly say ‘yes.’ The *great* shots are even far and few between. My son is just not a camera hound. He is a non stop, on the go toddler. I am looking so forward to the day that bribery works! Does that make me a bad mommy? This is what happens when I set out to get some pictures of my boy:

So, we took a much needed long weekend recently and I had the grand idea of doing a family beach portrait. It was brutal…a 2 year who did not want to cooperate, and me - composing the shot, setting the timer and running my big butt over to the boys and getting situated all in 10 seconds. There was a keeper - only one. But, I love it and for once, I’m actually in a picture! 
On a sidenote, I know I have been a horrible blogger. I am covered up, but slowly digging out. I promise to post some recents real soon!
